Shooting subsonic you're going to delivery 33% of the original energy. The only way to gain any of that lost velocity back it is to hand load extremely large bullets, then your range is like 200 yards or so, much more limited. Which is why a .300blk is the only cartridge that really makes sense for that, as the case is the proper volume to allow for accuracy. Shooting a rifle with supersonic ammo with a can on it will make it safe without hearing protection, but the bullet will still make it loud as hell. It also prevents you from getting blinded at night by the muzzleflash.

SAS makes the Covert suppressor for Accuracy International rifles, which screws onto the muzzlebrake and it works extremely well, and keeps the rifle at 20".

That's very similar to the can I'm looking at, I want one that will handle just about any round.

These appear to be different cans, the one above is similar to an intregal suppressor, it slides like 15" over the barrel and doesn't add to the length.

The Thunderbeast suppressors are good cans, I've heard a lot of good things. I prefer the SAS Arbiter for price/weight and it offers all the same things and its about half the price.

Went hog hunting with a buddy for my birthday. We drove up on a huge pack of them, then my FIL hit the call and scared them all off. We walked back into the trees where they ran and found this guy:



I let my buddy (on the right) take the shot, it was his first time hunting and I wanted him to get something. Seen this group on the cameras many times, first time I have come across them in person. Hoping to have continuing luck back in that area of our lease after I get my doe this season.

I didn't watch the video till now seems they are built the same as the KAC suppressors like the M110 and MK11 use.

how depressing... my camera was dead when I went out there today and by the looks of the pics I got. It must have died the same night I put it out there because I only had 18 pics of about a 30 min time span on the first night

What kind of batteries do you use? I've all but given up on any battery brand besides Energizer in both camera and feeder, they seem to last the longest.

our feeders have solar and I'm looking for solar for the cameras right now.. I know they make them and I can order one but I want to find a couple local so I can drive back up there tomorrow and hook them up

I've never seen a solar panel make a feeder self sustaining, but it does increase the length between replacements.

we put them up about this time last year and haven't had to replace a battery yet. I looked at mine today and it still shows 100% charged

I've got mine set to go off 3 times a day for 10 seconds each

so far so good

Damn, I need to get your panels... shit, at 3 seconds 2 times a day the ones at the lease last 6-9 months.
