Here's my buck from last weekend. Shot was about 125 yards using .270 Win. Got him right behind the front shoulder. He dropped about 10 yards away.
My wife and I have been together over 12 years (married over 7) and this was my first time to deer hunt with my father-in-law on their land in Morgan, TX. We go to the land several times a year but only for the past 4 years or so have I taken an interest in shooting. Usually I just target shoot with my handguns and shotguns. I also went dove hunting with him for the first time in October. Needless to say i'm hooked on both and look forward to yearly trips now. I feel this was like a right of passage.
