I've always hated sitting in stands myself. I don't deer hunt so that's not too much of a hindrance for me, but I've always enjoyed going out and finding the prey, instead of waiting for it to come to me.

My son and I are going on our first hunt tomorrow morning. A co-worker has ~250 acres right here in Terrell, we are mainly going to check it out. He's seen a nice buck and a few does the last few weeks. Plus there are plenty of hogs out there. We'll also be going to Dekalb for a couple of hunts.

Well guys i got a shot on my monster tonight. Pray for me. I messed up, it was a legal shooting hours shot at 6:50pm, but inside the blind i forgot to turn on my sight lights.

I could just baaarley see my pins and i couldnt let down.

Im so pissed at myself right now you have no idea. Charging my 500 lumens flashlight and going to go look for blood and my arrow here in a hour or so. If not ill wait until morning and go look.

it's too dam hot to sit in a 100 degree stand, I did it last weekend, we have a extended season, dad and I got 3 pigs and a doe. Acorns all over the ground, grass 3 feet tall. I'm not going back till there's a hard freeze.
