Anyone have one of these? What do you think of it?
I am thinking about getting one. I don't have a 9mm, and I've always liked the design of them, but never have shot one.

I think that I have a lot of guns and that's not one of them.

I always thought they were known for being a decent firearm. I have a .40, and a .45, I really want a 9mm again. I could always spend a few more bucks and get the S&W 686 that I want as well... Hmmmm

They are a good gun imho. Id shoot one before you buy. For the price I'd find something else, but that's me.

There's nothing wrong with them, per se. You just have to want a DA/SA, 2 lb 9mm. I'd probably opt for a sig in that case, since I'm a righty and don't like the slide mounted safety/decocker (you push it the "wrong" way to fire)

I know quite a few people who like them as range toys, but I'm just not a fan.

Also, should the locking block ever fail, that particular firearm is bad about fucking the shooter's face up. Unlikely, but it has happened.

for a full frame 9mm, you need a sig....the 92 feels pretty solid in my hand, comfortable to shoot and pretty accurate. decent firearm

Well the DA/SA heaviness isn't an issue for me, as I started shooting on a Ruger P95. I just would like to have another 9mm. I am looking at this or the more expensive 686 revolver which is worlds apart I know. Beretta will be cheaper to shoot though.

                        EAA Witness Limited Match

                        Sig P226 S

                        Sig P226 x5

CZ 75 Most widely used military/police sidearm in the world (purportedly)

                        Springfield Armory 9mm 1911

HK P30 (available in longslide, with or without safety, in DA/SA or their version of a Light DA called LEM) You'd love the way this gun feels if your hands are on the smaller side. Fully configurable grip panels. You could EASILY find a P30 9mm for $700 on the used market.

Glock 19. A fucking phenomenal, good shooting, versatile handgun. Of course it has its detractors, but what gun doesn't.

S&W M&P adjustable grip inserts, very good ergonomics, now with an improved trigger out of the box.

If you want a range toy, I would seriously consider a decent 1911. If you haven't fired one, they are kittens to shoot and people generally shoot them very well due to a reasonably good trigger and excellent ergonomics.

I have a Colt 1911 already in .45, and my Glock is .40. Looking for a full size 9mm, or a .357 revolver now. That Sig P226 is nice though I like that.

I was specifically talking about a 9mm 1911, but I can understand variety. That Tanfoglio up there is a sweet shooting gun.
