i have a buddy with a class A misdemeanor and wants to buy a gun. he is not a violent fella. can you get a gun with the class a misdemeanor? if you cant does the misdemeanor fall off your record eventually?

Depends on the crime and other circumstances.

Misdemeanor A or B stay on your record forever unless you have them expunged or non disclosed and even then there's qualifying terms.

Dont see why not... you can have misdemeanor warrants out and still buy a firearm legally. Class 3 too.

Okay. You can't have a firearm if you beat your neighbors and family and received a misdemeanor for it. Other than that, good to go.

Domestic shit is more serious, I read somewhere that if it's a violent or domestic crime you can't get your chl. Not sure about a normal purchase though.

Most domestic charges will ruin your ability to purchase firearms. Even class C domestic charges prevent you from getting a CHL.
