And LOL @ getting shot in the hand. Shouldn't you be keeping all the far-fetched hypotheticals in the Batman thread?Originally posted by BroncojohnnyHOORAY ME and FUCK YOU!

I know it's considered a paper weight to carry unchambered, but this is why I've always been hesitant carrying with it loaded...much less with the hammer cocked.
I'll switch between a Bersa .380 and a Kimber UC2. The .380 has a safety lever and the Kimber has the grip safety, but I just can't get comfortable with the possibility of something like this happening...maybe I'm overreacting. I use a inner-pocket sleeve or a side holster so I know my trigger is covered AND for the sleeve, I can't (and wouldn't) fit anything else in that pocket anyway.

He was shot through both hands by the perp and had a FTF because he didn't have enough grip pressure to depress the grip safety. Gun was obviously a 1911.
A couple weapons training/tactical shooting instructors in that thread said 25% of police officer gunfights involve hand wounds. LOL, one even mentioned how he uses specific gloves with the SIMfire ammo now because of how much it hurt to get shot in the hands with the stuff... and it happened often. As for a reason I would ASSuME target fixation at close range, i.e. shooting the other guy's gun.Originally posted by PGreenCobraI can't get over the fact that you get to go live the rest of your life, knowing that someone made a Halloween costume out of you. This just in - if you're shot in the head your Kahr won't help you either.
If this is the best anti-1911 example you have, then I think everyone can feel safe out there."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

There's nothing else to my comment other than that. If all you have for a CCW is a 1911, at least you have a CCW."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
