  • After 2 1/2 years of searching...

I finally have another Gen. 2 Glock 31. I know there are a lot of you guys that hate Glock and dislike the .357 sig but I happen to like both. Mainly because it was the first handgun I purchased in my life. It was stolen from me almost 3 years ago and at first I didn't think it was a big deal. I just thought I would find another and replace it. I perfer the Gen. 2 because it does not have the finger grooves and fits my hand so much better.

I can't find exact figures with proof but I have heard there were only 2,000 of these imported into the US. It has literally been this long til I have even seen another one. Several Glock experts told me I'd probably never find one and if I did it would be upwards of a grand. The Glocksmith that goes to most of the gun shows just laughed at me when I told him I was looking for one. I finally found one and the seller said it was in unfired condition. I didn't really believe him and took it with a grain of salt. Sure enough after inspecting it, it sure looks like it has never been fired.

I recieved the gun yesterday from my FFL and I am so excited. With shipping and FFL transfer I have 510.00 into it. I thought i would just share my excitment with this gun community. I dont post much but lurk every day.

      I love .357 Sig! It's exactly like 9mm +p+ only more expensive!

Congrats on the pistol. You should have asked me, I would have sold you one for $350.

Don't forget that it also offers less capacity.

              I had a Glock 33
              didn't like it
too much muzzle flash , hard to make follow up shots
the only upside is it was pretty damn accurate for a pocket pistol
downside is 357 sig was having case setback issues at the time when it manufactured, so I got a lot of FTF with bullets jambed in teh cases.
              sold it

I had a gen 3, g33. Never had an FTF, FTE or any other malfunction.
But I sold it because I don't reload yet and it was spensive!

well before anything gen3 was out. 357 sig had only been out a year or two if I remember right .
They did fix the setback issues I heard.
I too got sick of looking for ammo, and paying more for it.

$1,000 for a glock?! A fool and his money are soon departed.

I feel you on having one stolen, I had a 9mm G17 disappear when our house was robbed. I'm not into a specific caliber though, so I just replaced it with a .40 G21.

                        That's a bit harsh.

The 357 Sig has interested me for a while but as everyone else has said, I don't have any organs that I don't need to trade for ammo. Still wanna pick up a 10mm barrel for my 21, maybe after this other AR is done.
