Here's a link to my build. It should give you some of an idea on what ring height to go with. I have no experience with the Burris P.E.P.R., but if these guys swear by them, they can't be half bad then.

VLTOR MUR Modular Upper Receiver w/o Bolt Assist Rock River Arms Chrome BCG BCMGUNFIGHTER Charging Handle w/ Mod 4 (MEDIUM) Latch White Oak Armament .223/5.56 Varmint Barrel 20", 1-8,with fitted Gas Manifold Yankee Hill Machine Rifle Length Customizable Forearm Accu-Shot Atlas Bipod (V8.1) Double Star Lower Receiver

Also, I have a DNZ mount on my .17 bolt gun and they're great.

At DNZ Products, we are truly excited to offer such an exceptional line-up of rifle scope mounts rings, bases and riflescope mounting accessories. Shop now." class="yoast-seo-meta-tag

My guess is a combination of both cheek weld and clearance for the objective should be considered when choosing an scope mount.

Wished you could make it to the build GTG so you can see the fruits of your labor in person. It's the nicest AR rifle I've built yet.

What the fuck are you trying to say here?

You want the scope as close to bore axis as possible.

The only reasons to raise it are objective clearance, and the ability to reach the charging handle.

A lot of AR mounts are throw mounts, you'll see them cant the mount arms forward, the idea is to keep the rear element in front of the charging handle. Like mentioned you want the scope tube as low as possible. For long distances you can buy canted bases. Mine is a custom larue 20moa base.

Just do your math on your tube/objective size and you can find just the right height. Keep at least a 1/8" gap to allow for scope whip.

Cheaper Than Dirt! is America's Ultimate Shooting Sports Discounter, and we live up to that title. Expect bulk ammo deals, discount firearms, parts to build your next gun and more.

Much better. Now just get a cheap 45* rail adapter and put it on the receiver end of your quad/octo-rail that way you don't have a 4" difference in POA-POI at the muzzle.

You may want to mock up your rig and make sure that your mount will clear, but if it's going on a quad rail, it can always go on the 3-9 o'clock rails if it won't clear the scope objective or your mount on the 12 o'clock rail.
