  • a must have safe...

...if you have the room. I think this safe would make a perfect and unique gun safe restored.

Yeah, for a safe room. Would be a hell of a bargain if you had built a safe room and just needed a door.

Costco has a nice Canon safe on sale for $200 off ($799).

Or if your currently having a house built and can do without one less closet. Just seems to good to pass up. Wish I had the room

yeah but how much would it cost to get the pad changed or lock combo figured out ?
i'd be interested, but the spin lock is a non-starter. must be replaced for something faster

You would be better off having an electronic lock for a safe or safe room.

Have you ever had an intruder and tried to get into one of those old combination locks?

You'd be dead before you got the door open.

I keep a pistol out for home defense, but everything else stays in safe. I can't picture a scenario that's going to require me to need anything else at moments notice. Although, anything is possible. ...My safe sucks compared to this one. I think I purchased mine at Lowes some years ago. ...but yes, some sort of quick access device would be nice too.

If they don't know the combo, who's to say the safe is empty?

                    I believe it's just a door?

A pistol is what you use to fight you way to your long guns.

Hmmm, you might be right. The title and description is a bit ambiguous. Who knows.

This picture sort of looks like it's a complete safe? Almost like it was designed to be recessed into a wall opening?

If they had the combo - I'd be more likely to buy it and am still thinking about it. I'd pay a safe mover on this one. The big deal to me is probably having to have the combo taken out and something else re-installed. I could see that adding up to 600+ real quick.

Yeah, I have a big costco type safe too, but they don't make them like this anymore - for 800 dollars.

Heck, wonder what it's worth for scrap. That's just wrong though.
