  • dumbass move with AR trigger guard.

well I messed up because I'm a dumbass. I put the roll pin through the wrong side of the trigger guard (the small pin side where the pin won't go all the way through). Now I'm going to cut it off with a dremel and put a magpul guard in.

The question is Will the hole be enlarged because I put the larger pin in the smaller side?

    Anyone else done this??

Well that isn't going to work, because you need the spring loaded detent on the trigger guard to lock into the far side. Are you saying you're going to cut off the trigger guard and then try and remove the pin?

yes, I'm going to cut it off and drive out the roll pin. I'm worried that when I remove it that the spring detent will be loose once I install the magpul.

Its not really an issue, but just looks bad about 1/16in of roll pin sticks out.

They are loose even when they are new.
