I think the eotech has a slightly more user friendly pickup. I think the Army's problem is the way their usage is taught. I attended the Army Weapons/ Optics expert course and even there its sketchy. Too much focus on bad basic marksmanship leads to people learning to "aim" with the red dot. trying to concentrate too much on something that is supposed to be reflex fire.
i.e. looking at them like scopes

Also, at night the muzzleflash will blind you, the eotech is much more functional during shooting at night in my experience.Last edited by CJ; 12-22-2010, 12:58 PM."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

Also I have never been blinded by muzzle flash, and I have shot ARs, ported pistols, 44 mags, FALs, and machineguns at night and have never been blinded.
Dont get me wrong, I have taken my eotech hunting before, but I feel like it didnt really help. It was just a crosshair on a field of black.Originally posted by lincolnboyAfter watching Games of Thrones, makes me glad i was not born in those years.
