new AR-6.8 build, should I camo it?

ok, this is going to my 3rd AR audition to my collection.

want to do something different with this build. i have a OD green ctr stock, my original idea was od stock and od rail. leaving the upper & lower receivers black...

now i've been thinking about painting the upper & lower receivers OD green, leaving the lower parts black. like the mag release bolt catch and fire select. also the forward asst all black.
black stock and black rail.

another option is. to paint everything! od OR coyote tan color?

last option. go ahead man up and hydro-dip bad boy, digital camo?

I dig the upper/lower receivers and the hand guard in OD also. Accented with black stock, grip etc. would look great. Go for it buddy.

Yes sir, I'm considering going that route myself. If 6.8 is in pieces, I'd recommend having the parts Cerakoted.

Cerakote is a painting process that is cured in an oven. Similar to Duracoat, that process is air dried. If you're interested in Cerakote, Chuck Ross with Ross Precission does great work. Not sure where you're located, but he works out of his house in Keller. You've been talking about getting a gun trust right? He offers a free trust with the purchas of 5.56/9mm suppressor up to larger caliber's. The trust is $35 with the purchase of an rim fire can.

just dont feel like spending that kinda cash. i'd rather spend $5 spray can OR $100 for hydro dip kit, could possibly do a my pistol too.

Yeah, I kind of remember those good times. What money we could gather was spent on a case (or two) of beer rather than a case of Krylon lol. Sadly, the older I get the more and more they become distant memories.
