The problem with STI is that if you're not a stocking dealer, then you pay through the nose for the guns which makes it hard to earn customers.
All I can say is that you might get a bigger name for $1100, but you won't get a better gun.
Merry Christmas.

They also have it in .40 S&W.
If you're ever around Dallas, you're welcome to put some rounds through my Elektra and my VIP.

If you're spending $700 on a Spartan, spend $1000 and get one built in Texas. They're extremely good guns.

Grandmaster .38 super. Flawless from the start.
Edge .40 Ran like a top, a few misfeeds when brand new with short OAL rounds(only able to duplicate with one box of ammo), since then, it has been a dream
Eagle .45 The one I was playing with had a jillion rounds through it and ran very well
VIP. 40 One of my carry guns. It has run flawless for me and everyone else who has shot it... except... Keith (Kbrscobralimpwrist)
Ranger II .40 I put ~200 rounds through this, no jams. Right out of the gate, the magazine release came uncorked. I put it back in place and it has run well since.
Elektra .45 My 80% of the time carry. Runs like a top, no FTF,FTE... EVER
Escort .45 Same as Elektra.
I really want to pick up a Trojan, but every time I decide to buy one, I find something more expensive to buy. (Elektra, VIP, etc.)
Those are just the ones I can think of. I do like my STI, they have proven themselves to me time and again.
