  • Help me out fellas

Was heading out to go shooting today with some friends, and decided I needed a rifle. So I ran to Wallyworld and snagged one. I have never purchased a gun from them before, but remembered a post a awhile back someone saying it was a fairly good gun (I may be wrong). But I said what the hell, and picked up a SIG 522. I him'd and ha'd on the 223 or the 22, but seeing as its mostly going to be a target gun; the difference in the price of ammo, and the fact that the 223 was more than $300 more, I went with the 22.
After a day of shooting the only thing I can complain about is the stupid 10 round magazine it came with. So other than a new mag, what if anything should I do to this gun? I'm not a tactical nut or anything, just want to enjoy it more.

and here is the wife with it.

looks good, I would add a couple higher capacity mags, I shot my Primary Arms red dot for the first time today and really enjoyed it, also shot a friend's PA Micro Dot, both were very nice for the price.

How much did you pay for that? (if you don't mind saying)

$497, I'll look at sights soon, the mag is on the top of my list. 10 shots goes by pretty quick when your playing.
I never thought I could have so much fun with a 22.

x2 on the Primary Arms optics. Sure I wouldn't trust one in combat, but they hold a zero on both my .223 AR and my friend's 30-06. A little red dot would be perfect on that!

Yeah, it took a while to get mine sighted, although that is more user error than anything on their end...couldn't be happier after my first use of it...

Can you put one of those Black Dog Drums on that thing? The GSG drum was a hoot when it wanted to work lol.

I am not real schooled on guns, I got this one because it was in my price range, and I wanted to shoot that day. It was more of an impulse buy than anything. What about the 10/22 makes it better? I can always own more guns. lol

Much smaller than your sig. Sig looks cool but it's highly unnecessary bulk. They have 25rd mags for cheap, as mentioned above tons of aftermarket for them.

whats the going price for one? As I said I'm not apposed to owning more than one riffle. Though I'd like my next one to be a larger caliber. I've never been hunting, and would like to give it a try some time soon.
And thanks for all the info.
