Yes I did. That was the fastest I'd ever ordered and paid for something. I'd been looking at them for a while, and wanted a HK rifle of some sort. I almost paid $1700+tax for one not too long ago so this deal was too good to pass up. Someone paid that, or more, the one I talked myself out of, so this is a great deal with the extras.

I'll probably leave mine alone. It has dipped into my sps .308 scope fund though, but I've got until deer season for that. I actually told myself I wouldn't buy a gun this year. I had stuff I wanted to do to my existing guns so I was going to spend money on them and ammo only. I made it 4.5 months so I guess I did pretty good.
If I did do a SBR I'd like to go the .300 route anyway.

As long as the rifle is a 16" permanent barrel length and no less than 26" OAL then you are fine. The 20" SL8's are accurate guns, on par with a match AR15. The gun will out shoot the ballistic effectiveness of the cartridge for the most part. What really kicks your ass on converting these is staying 922(r) compliant. I have the same issues with my G3's/HK91's. Tons of cheap German parts, none of which you can use.
when i get the urge, i'll buy all the compliant parts at once and pay for my first stamp. $1k for all that doesn't seem that bad.www.hppmotorsports.com

"Good Deal" and "HK" don't usually go together..."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776
