Mother of god that is a good deal. Mine was $1450 from Jackson Armory and I thought that was good.

If anyone has any interest in doing an SL8 conversion I would highly recommend jumping on this as HK is not making this gun anymore!

The cost can be high or low, depends on how you want your rifle to look. Kind of like an AR build.

I am going the mid priced route by keeping my factory barrel and just cutting it down, using the stock block instead of having the receiver cut and plastic welded, etc. I did however go with the hendsoldt dual optic that set me back quite a bit.

If you do what I did and use irons you can do it for pretty cheap. Or you can go balls out and get the g36c front end, SBR it, do the receiver reweld, etc.

The benefits of the conversion are that you get the ability to use the g36 hi cap magazines (or ar15 mags with a special adapter) instead of the sl8 10 rounders, you get a pistol grip, a folding stock, ability to use a muzzle device, and some cool factor.
