Here is something that a friend of mine brought up, kind of an interesting "thought". We both reload.
Reloading your carry ammo. You can build it up to highest possible charge, and pick the best blossoming hollow point... Essentially, the best possible "kill round". Now you've shot someone in self defense, and the cause was justified. You don't go to jail, but a civil case is brought up against you. What if the accusing party finds out that the ammunition you used was not over the counter? What if they somehow make a claim that you engineered the round for the maximum amount of damage and somehow prove that if any other round were used the person you shot could still be alive? Don't focus on my claims, just the idea of using hand made ammunition. Just an interesting thought.
