Keep in mind, this is my opinion, this will be subjective from shooter to shooter as your eyes may tell you something differently. Most things out there are going to be better than the BSA line, period. BSA is just junk.
Like Dee mentioned, the Nikon Prostaff line is a great scope for the money. Nikon has been known for their optics for years and not just with scopes but with glasses and camera lenses. They've recent come out with a 3-9x40 scope with an adjustable objective otherwise known as a parallax adjustment. Nikon also makes a scope with a BDC reticle, which stands for Bullet Drop Compensator. They have an app youl can download to a computer or smartphone that allows you to dial in your bullet, range, wind, etc... and it'll give you the correct hold over.
Bushnell also makes a decent entry level scope for the money, which is found in the their Bushnell Banner Dusk & Dawn. I have both a Nikon Prostaff and a Banner scope, out of the two I prefer my Bushnell because it lets a little more light in.
Vortex also has some entry level scopes for the money and badass warranty to boot.
Remember, it's not just about the optics, you need a good set of rings to go with the scope. It won't matter if you've got a $1000 scope if you're $20 set of rings won't hold the zero. So invest in a good set of rings. You can rings that offer additional adjustment that others don't, such as windage.
Best thing you can do though is find a place that has a bunch of scopes for you to get your hands on.Originally posted by JesterEvery time you see the fucking guy....show him your fucking dick..
