The system requires an extension to the bolt carrier (which is supplied in the kit). The biggest problem with the kit is that firing the gun with the stock folded could cause serious damage and injury. The last thing I want is a bolt carrier in my eye socket!

I think it is neat, but it also scares the hell out of me. You fire that thing off somehow with the stock folded and your bolt carrier could be as lethal as the bullet, lol.

It's a cool idea... I'll never get my gun built if shit like this keeps coming out.

There is just something so unsettling about having a crucial component of a firearm's action housed in a tube that hangs off the ass end.

One of the many reasons I prefer other platforms.
Yesterday I wrote that firing the Law Tactical AR-15 Folding Stock Adapter with the stock open could damage the user. This was incorrect and the post has been updated. The manufacturer says …The Bolt Carrier Extension part, when installed correctly, will hold the Bolt Carrier Group in place. The Bolt Carrier Extension will also stop the Bolt Carrier Group from flying out and causing any injury or loss of life if someone should accidentally fire the weapon with the stock folded. If fired when folded, the locking finger will bend, preventing further operation of the weapon until it is replaced.

The Bolt Carrier Extension will also stop the Bolt Carrier Group from flying out and causing any injury or loss of life if someone should accidentally fire the weapon with the stock folded. If fired when folded, the locking finger will bend, preventing further operation of the weapon until it is replaced. This is done to eliminate the possibility of catastrophic failure of the adaptor due to repeated misuse.

I'm seriously considering this actually. I'm looking for a short OAL so I can carry it on a sling when I'm hunting. This would allow me to go from 28" OAL on my 9" .300 SBR to 20" OAL. That is huge, 30% reduction in OAL. A 20" rifle is small, really small. I plan on keeping a suppressor on the gun when I'm hunting so adding back 6" I'm at 26" OAL vs. 34" unmodified. Also another reason why I'm considering it is I'm a pretty big dude and a problem I've always had is not enough pull length on my stocks, this adds a good 3/4" which is huge.
