  • Can't wait till bird season

Well I finally let go some of that choo choo cash and bought me a new shotgun. Can't wait to shoot it. It's kind of hard to see in the pics but the stock has alot of tiger stripe in the wood grain. I must of handled about 10 of these guns at 7 different gun shops before I found a stock that I really liked. For some reason the stocks vary alot in color and grain on this gun.

Very nice! I have been so tempted to get a nice shotgun for bird hunting. I just havent done it because I am hard on my shotguns. I guess if I got something nicer I would just use it for quail and pheasant and try to be gentle. There is no way I could take anything nice for duck hunting though, I get in some nasty conditions and wouldnt want to take a 'nice' gun.

I feel you, I just picked up a Remington 1100 that I can't wait to go shoot.

Very nice I always liked Berettas they just never felt right shouldering and shooting.

I recently bought a Beretta and probably put 150 shells through it shooting clays. Damned good time. I was torn over the Beretta, Brownings and some of those 600 dollar variety guns. Can't say for sure, but I have no buyer's remorse over the Beretta purchase.

That gun is almost too nice to shoot! I'm hoping to get a semi-auto before dove season... I like my Mossberg pump action but it's time to upgrade.

You hardly get more than two shots anyway.

For the most part, depends on the choke and the quantity of birds. I switched to a full choke about 2 years ago, takes quite a bit of time to get use to how accurate you have to be, but I've been taking quite a bit more birds now.

Full is what I started out on talk about picking your shots, still use either full or skeet not much in between the two.
