Finally got the finger prints done for the CHL

Everything is checked off except the background check. How long does that usually take?

(Took the class on March 24th, just got my finger printing done last Friday)

It has showed that my background check is "under review" for almost 2 weeks now. It might just be me, but that's where I am at.

Mailed my forms in 2 weeks ago and the website still doesn't even show they have received them yet. But that's pretty normal from what I have read.

Mine took 3 weeks, and another month to get my licenses in the mail. I want to say it was a total of 2 months total.

Mine took just under 5 weeks from mail to plastic in hand. No arrests.
My dad got his in 3 months for an arrest 30 years ago. (dont know if this is typical)

The website took 3-4 weeks to update that the paperwork was accepted. After you get through that first hump the rest is alot faster.
Edit: Dad's was hung up for over a month on the background part

Thanks guys, that gives me some insight. I have a small blemish on my record. Not worried about the time to get the license. Just don't want to be screwed out of $140.00 for that misdemeanor. (which I shouldn't be).

They have had my application for 3 weeks already. I guess they do background check after they get every thing in.
