Ok I just called L1 (Morpho Trust) the fingerprints are still just $9.95 for TX CHL. I don't know what the people in your area where smoking when they told you $42? So I retract my previous "price gouging asshole" statement

According to the lady working at the one in Arlington L1 charges you based on what you need prints for. They charge more for teachers, adoptions and CDL's. I just went there last week.

Ok, so i didnt read everything, but to sum up:

Fingerprints cost $10, period.
A class can vary from $50 to $150.
If you are doing a renewal, the class should not cost more then $60.
The state fee for a renewal is $70.

So you should be able to do everything for less then $150

I try not to throw out where I work because I do not pay sponsorship fees to the site, but renewals are $55 year round with us.

I would have went there, if I had known about them before I got my class set up. I would much rather give my money to people from the board.
