Ruger 22/45 Lite-
Picked up this guy down during LSR at McBrides gun shop in Austin. I have been wanting to get rid of my p22 since.... well... I bought the damn thing because they are in my experience nearly the worst damn 22lr autoloader that you can buy, but I bought it a long time ago because it was the easiest way to start running my can.
I have always loved these Rugers MK type pistols, and the new Lite model caught my eye on The Firearm Blog the other day. The gun weighs 22 ounces, has a threaded barrel, adjustable sights, and free hideous gold anodizing! None the less, it saves you from having to buy a ruger mk pistol and buying a $300 pac lite upper. When I saw it at the store an employee was unpacking it and it had no price tag because he had just gotten it in from ruger and didnt recognize the model number. I checked and saw the online MSRP was $470 so I fully expected him to throw out an insane number like $450 since it was new... but nope, he looked it up in a book and said "$379 is what I can do on this one". After seeing that a regular 22/45 was only a little less money, I filled out the 4473 and paid the piper.
Finally, now I have a can host that will hopefully fire off a magazine without a jam
