  • level ll, and level lll vests

For anyone who has had experience with them, I do executive protection. On a bunch of our job the threat level has increased and I am thinking about getting a vest. My question is when it comes to comfort and stopping ability, what is the the difference between a level ll, and a level
lll except the stopping ability? Professionals only please!

Level II is a very last resort undervest. I would not trust my life to anything not Level III and above. If in an active combat zone expecting contact, go Level IVa (carrier with kevlar Level III liners and ceramic plates (level IV). If needing a discreet covert system go with a thin carrier with Kevlar Level III panels.

    Where are you working?
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

dont' go lower than a III and i would recomend a strike plate that covers you center mass.

Ya the second chance plate is always good. I need to go try some on. There is nothing worse then having to stand around all day being uncomfortable.

PDs go with Threat Level IIIA, since most likely you won't get shot at with a rifle.

If you get shot with a 12ga slug, forget it. The blunt force trauma will be what kills you.

THat's probably going to be your most common threat in any area. Some people dont' know anything about firearms or only own one and that'll probably be a pistol.
