You need to understand what you're comparing to begin with.

    AAC Cyclone
    $850
    Steel
    31 ounces
    Not rated for .300 magnum
Not rated for full auto fire
    0.30dB reduction

    SAS Arbiter
    $795
    Titanium
    12.5 ounces
    Rated for .300 magnum
    Rated for full auto fire
    35.5dB reduction

The AAC weighs 2.5x more, you can't use it with .300 magnum, it isn't full auto rated, it doesn't suppress as well, and it costs more. You need to understand these two cans are not even in the same class. A direct comparison is the AAC Cycle to the SAS Stainless 7.62 for $595 - and it offers all of the above advantages, except it weighs 22oz - still less than the AAC. But, even still the Arbiter is cheaper than the AAC. And also, contact Jeff because I think you'll find the price is even better than you think. Tim at SAS is getting buried with orders, and more than likely he's going to raise his prices because honestly he's too cheap at the moment. I can't tell you what I actually paid for it, but I'd speak w/ Jeff about it because he can get you a great deal.

When I was researching suppressors I found the SAS to be the best for the money, it was very impressive. You can read many reviews over at snipershide on peoples experiences with them.

I know what I'm comparing, and to edit my previous post MSRP on the Cyclone is now $750. The Arbiter might be a better bang for the buck, but its not "much cheaper". Actually its more expensive. That being said I'd still probably go for the Arbiter because of its features, even if it is slightly pricier than the AAC Cyclone.

      The AAC weighs 2.5x more
From SAS's site for the Ti Arbiter:
Weight: 12.4 to 14.5 oz (depending on mount)

From AAC's site for the Cyclone:
      Weight: 22.4 oz

      Just sayin

Here's the specs I found from their vendor:

        DETAILS
The CYCLONE is a thread-mounting silencer for 7.62mm bolt action and semi-automatic rifles. Constructed entirely from welded 300 series stainless steel, the 8.38" Lg x 1.50" diameter CYCLONE is the most compact and durable 7.62mm rifle silencer on the market. The computer optimized baffle stack of the CYCLONE delivers a substantial frequency shift, and the resulting muzzle report is indistinguishable from the ballistic crack of the projectile in flight. The weapon''s flash signature is completely eliminated, and recoil is reduced to the extent the shooter can actually see bullet impact through the scope. The slight added weight of the CYCLONE will assist in reducing barrel harmonics which can equate to a significant increase in accuracy with many host-weapons. Delivered with standard 9/16-24 threads, the CYCLONE is available with other mounting configurations upon special request.

        Technical Information
        Caliber 7.62mm
        O.A. Length 8.38 in (213mm)
        Diameter 1.5 in (38mm)
        Weight 31 oz (886g)
        Degree of Suppression -30dB (Dry)
Construction Materials 300 Series Stainless Steel
Standard Finish Socom Black Moly ResinTM
Optional Finish Bead Blast Stainless Steel $649.99

22oz now? Maybe a new version. That means it weigh as much as the SAS Stainless, and only twice as much as the Arbiter. As for the price, it's cheaper - even if it's $750 now. I can say that because I bought one, but I can't tell you how much, you need to speak to Jeff about that. You missed my point again. What I'm saying is for comparison purposes the Arbiter is much better/cheaper. If you want to compare apples to apples, you compare the AAC to the 7.62 Stainless SAS can. It's much cheaper, and it's much better in all points. But I have a feeling this is about you wanting to prove me wrong in a sentence more than anything to do with suppressors.

My comment was towards your statement that the Cyclone is cheaper than the Arbiter, which it isn't based on MSRP. I don't doubt that you got a good deal, and again as I already stated I would purchase the Arbiter before the Cyclone and it is better for the money spent. I'm agreeing with you on all counts except that if Boomhauer is comparing them both, the AAC is cheaper when comparing the two models listed, but the Arbiter is worth the extra. If you can get it for cheaper than great! But I'm not going to make a decision on something based on what I hope I can pay for it. In this case, regardless of the slight price difference, the Arbiter is better. Not sure how many other ways I can say it...
