Someone look at this H&k mark 23. Is it a deal?

Was browsing TGT and saw this seems like a

What do I need to look for when buying it?

Looks like a damn good deal. Just look for the obvious things. It uses an o-ring on the barrel, but they are cheap to replace if something is wrong with it. Good luck.

Also, I personally would want all of the original things like the box, manual, test fire casings, etc...

That is a good deal, especially since HK has discontinued the mark 23. They are one of the best pistols that money can buy.

Things that bother me about that are the 10 rounds mags instead of 12 (probably purchased during the assault weapons ban), and lack of documentation and original box and ancillary literature.

Yeah it seems too cheap. Plus the guy has a nighthawk falcon 1911 msrp 3095 for $1500.
Is it even possible that the h&k could be a knockoff? And how do I check the serial number?

I live here in Lubbock so I'm going to at least check it out.

I have never seen an HK mark 23 "knockoff" other than maybe an airsoft gun. That price is so cheap though that I would be suspicious. They go for $1500+ on gunbroker usually.

the s/n looks fine...
it doesnt fit into the mk23, which is fine, as this is the civilian version (Mark 23).

if i remember right, only 3000 were avail on civilian market of the Mark 23.
a buddy of mine bought one back in the day new for 1800 w/ 2-12rd mags.

i'd also be interested in the build date code on side of slide
