I am thinking about going for the first time in May (like I said earlier) and I was thinking about making a post to see if anybody else wanted to go.

Never have done three gun, but I have shot in carbine+pistol matches... errr... 2 gun competitions.

I always used my beretta 92 and sig 556, except for one time when I used a glock 34 and it jammed on me during a stage.

Last time I ever made that mistake (using a glock for any practical purpose).

I've done three gun 3 times now but haven't found a place around here to do it other than IDPA style.

My shotgun will be a Remington 1200 with extended tube no opitcs or anything. G17 stock and a AR15 with Red Dot.

You're right about using that stupid Glock. You shoulda used a Kimber!

homegrown AR15 (WOA barrel, LAR side charger and lots of junk)
Benelli M2 (box stock at the moment. Damn you 922r)
Glock 35 most likely, possibly something else. Dunno.

I've probably put 2,000 rounds downrange with my 34 during matches... No hiccups with it at all. You must have been limp wristing it, lol. J/K. Sell it to my buddy, he's looking for a 34.

I would definitely be interested in trying it out, I don't think I can make it in May, but definitely later this summer.

I've always wanted to do three gun as well. All I have are pumps as well, but I have been trying to justify a 930spx. I would probably use my 5.45x39 SBR AR-15 or AK-74 (is that allowed?), Glock 22 with laser grips, and my Hatsan Escort 12ga.

Unfortunately they like to do them on Sunday's, when I am busy ALL day every Sunday.

Edit: Nevermind, ammo has to be 5.56 or larger...that blows.

AK-47 would work though. You just don't see them out there very often. Well we don't where we shoot. Also, you have to be careful with "optics" on a pistol. Or pretty much anything that will aid you in aiming. I'm pretty sure that the laser will put you in open class.

maybe it's just me , but 2 gun competitions make sense.

3 gun. that's just overkill!

I was saying that sucks about my AR-15 SBR that uses 5.45x39 (AK-74 ammo) not being allowed.

Big Muskie will bear witness that it shot very precisely despite being an 11.5" barrel.

It would be fun for giggles to shoot my Bulgy Ak-74, but I know the AK was always designed to spray high volumes of ammo. It's still fun to shoot.
