Nice shooting for sure, but I'm still hoping for long shot accuracy as well.
I've been meaning to get out to the range. Next time I go, I'll hit you up to see if you want to come squeeze some rounds off from my Savages... That is, if you are located near by...Last edited by BlackGT; 03-20-2012, 05:43 PM."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

No, I meant " as in inches. You can convert inches to moa and moa to inches. Calipers don't measure in moa... But I see what you're saying and corrected it."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

MOA is Minute Of Angle, a unit of measurement that can be converted into inches, another more standard, unit of measure."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

Seems the bull barrels help sub Par shooters as myself shoot better with the extra weight .I have a buddy with a 700 classic in a 22-250 w/hand loads will shoot a 5 shot group less than 1/2 inch (cooling between shots). I can't hold that light gun steady enuff , but the heavy guns help me a lot .

Recoil can kill a group if you cant handle it. Im short and bigger rounds can push me around if i shoulder it like most. I actually bring a gun a little more in towards my chest.
I would not be afraid to shoot my tikka out to 600 with my shooting. Most of your bigger brands are offering a under inch group at a 100. Sometimes it has to be the ammo they tested with to get those results.
Thompson center has guns that offer a under half inch out of the box. they are also not bull barrels.
If you do get a tikka buy some talley rungs for it the day you buy it. Tikka rings blow ass. Mine tried to rip the recoil stud out, and the allen head screws round out with in spec tq ratings.

Edit I think we are all thinking/talking about the same it's just we are thinking and describing differently."It's another burrito, it's a cold Lone Star in my hand!"
