I'm in Keller as well, I miss Alpine and the Grand Prairie gun range. So if you get with Keith, let me know and I can bring along my SBR, glocks and Eaa witnesses. I also have a XD40 service and a few cheap shotguns.

He's got enough AR-15's to arm a small country.

I started with a handgun. I got a smith and Wesson sigma .40. I thought, hell... Its a smith and Wesson it must be great! Well by buying that piece of shit I learned its better to just spend the 100-1000 dollars on sOmething quality and you really like.

DUDE, I was in that same boat! I bought the S&W Sigma 9mm as my first handgun and couldn't get use to that rediculous trigger pull...sold it and bought my Kimber. It was night and day difference.

Which to the OP, makes a very important point that I learned...shoot different guns when ever possible before just going out and buying one. It may be worth it for you to save for a little longer to get a good quality gun.

And if you end up meeting at Alpine or GP Gun Range, let me know, I'll bring along my Bersa .380 (very easy to conceal) and my Kimber.

If you live close to Saginaw I can give you one on one non firing instruction on various firearms as well as a safety class at my house. Im a Marine Corps rifle/pistol coach. I'd suggest going through that before going and doing "live fire".

I was told NEVER to buy a kimber because it will lead to buying more...
