  • One-Hole Wonder – Rifle Barrel Maker

I thought this was cool, for you machinists. Incredible accuracy when making the rifle barrel!
    ...
He push reams small diameter holes with his own proprietary tool design, capable of 0.0001" accuracy. He uses proprietary carbide formulations for his rifling buttons. And he is using the world's most advanced tube hone from Sunnen Products to impart accuracy-enhancing bore geometry and diameter (±0.000050" end-to-end), with a fine finish of 3-8 microinch Ra that sheds fouling and copper bullet-jacket residue.

    I will take two.

That is pretty impressive.....just remember though that scope alone cost about double what the rifle probably cost. What is the saying you can put a $50 scope on a $1,000 rifle and still only have a $50 rifle. No doubt the barrel played a huge role still. I am impressed. I would like to see it hitting a flat target though to see the actual impacts. I can only imagine a 10shot .250" at 100yrds and get wood.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Might be a little hard to find a new one these days, I believe they went under. That being said I've never heard of any bad talk about their stuff, I assume that's what your heavy barreled AR is.

Both me and Keith have SD barrels. They are damn good, not only when you air gauge them, but performance as well. I think they were raided by the ATF, never heard much after that.

They don't even have a website anymore and a few google searches lead to forums that say they closed shop. Did they make their barrels in house or contract them out? I've looked into building an AR but I'm wanting an oddball caliber in 6mm AR might just order another Krieger just don't like the 6-8 month wait.
