    Good lesson on misfires... ouch

    Saw this on another site:

    This was forwarded from Honduras. It was their Barrett .50 cal. The round failed to fire and the Honduran soldier attempted to pull the bolt to the rear and it blew. The ammo was dated 1982, no info on Lot #.







    If your gun misfires, keep it pointed downrange for 30 seconds, then clear the chamber. Reminds me of that guy with the shotgun video...


    I wonder how many misfires have been ruled as suicides...

        I've never understood why people feed a precision (at least marketed as) rifle with run of the mill surplus junk.

          I'm guessing that's what the military gave him to shoot in it.

            Maybe because it's a surplus military rifle being used by the military and having military surplus ammo fired through it?

            Regardless... that rifle is going to need to be re-zero'ed.
