Lately I've had much better luck stalking the pigs instead of waiting on them, so I'm switching it up with a .44 mag and I'm building a 9" .300 BLK for <100 yards hunting. The last pig I shot I chased down and shot in the head with buckshot from my 870 from about 5 feet away.
If I'm shooting from a decent range and it's a single animal, I'll use my Remington 600 .350 rem mag. That turns their heads into candy dishes. Ridiculous overkill, but you don't have to follow any blood trails.
