I take retract my previous statement that I eat everything I kill. I have shot plenty of turtles in the pond and not retrieved them and have yet to try turtle soup. I have eaten snake, raccoon, rat, squirrel, bird, and other shit I can't remember.

But, shooting a turtle in the head in the pond is outstanding target practice and also keeps the little bastards from getting your bait when catfishing!
