I bought my 91/30 from them and was happy with it, though I did go ahead and refinish it. Also look at aimsurplus.com, I think they start at $79 there, and classicarms.us. Local dealer depending on where you live is Ammo Depot, They have some nice number matching 91/30s out there for a reasonable price. I think my buddy paid $125 for one from there and it even had a matched s/n on the bayo.
If you're towards Ft. Worth they said Military Gun Supply has them for $89. I got my 91/30 from Ammo Depot for $125 OTD.
That one will cost you $112.27 ($109 cash discount price) + FFL fee, anywhere from $10-25. You'd be better off going to Ammo Depot or Military Gun Supply. Then you can pick through what they got and take the one you like best.
Ammo Depot still has a few war time 91/30's with matching bayonets, but they are wanting $150-170 for them now.

Cabelas will run them for $99 with all the accessories a couple times a year. With fathers day coming up I'd expect a sale soon. I got one there last year and it looked like new and hadn't seen any action.

I was thinking the same thing and have been looking for one recently. I ended up buying one online for $93, pre shipping.
gotcha....so I should prolly keep my 30-30 and get one of these or a 30-06.
Yes, the Mosin in a long, bolt action rifle. The 7.62 54r is similar to the 30 06 and is about 2600fps. I have a carbine and it is a blast, light, fast firing, but it was meant to replace a sidearm. So it is only accurate to 200 yards or so and the round is just under 2000fps. Depending on what you are doing the carbine can fit the bill, but for power, distance, and price it is really hard to beat the mosin.
