  • tips for sighting in at 100 yards,

short notice i just got invited to a range GTG.
few buddys an i are going to a 100 yard range tomorrow, i need to get my 2 rifles zeroed.

first rifle has just a red dot and laser and BUIS. 2nd has just an A2 style setup carry handle.

garland public i think he said. just wanted to know how y'all zero at 100 yards?
again this was unexpected, i would have going to target master start at 25YRDS then 50,

That range has a 50yd and 100yd setup, just get there a little early and sit down at the 50!

I've used a bore sight before and it was helpful, not sure if you have time to run and get one though.

Academy carries a bore sighter for .223s that's $30. I have one and it got me within 8" of the target, so I at least knew I was close to begin the final sighting in.

I think the range will also rent you a spotting scope if you need one to see your hits to adjust the sights.

                  I would suggest
                  1st rifle
                  Red laser 25 yards
                  BUIS 45 yards
                  Green laser 50 yards
                  First Red dot, 75 yards
                  2nd optic 100 yards.

                  On your 2nd rifle
                  charge handle 50 yards
                  WRX

                    Lol.
                    Try a 25y zero.

I hear the rifle range at garland is dead now that they got super strict. Only softpoint ammo is allowed and must be below .30 caliber

No fmj has always been the rule. So soft point or hollowpoint.

                            It is pretty dead though.

They have always had that rule and try going on the weekend. It is not dead.
