Mr fiux's lorcin will discharge at random. If you chamber a round, it will discharge sometimes. Sometimes if you put the safety on, it will discharge. Insert a magazine.... you guessed it... discharge. Oh, and it also explodes in your hand sometimes throwing the slide in the air. It is without question the most exciting pistol you'll ever fire.

Hmm, I didn't see him say that, but okay. I'm not sure of the ability of them to sustain any ammo, I know I wouldn't want to be the guy holding it when it is pushed to the limits.

I've watched several Youtube vids of people TRYING to make a Hi-Point compact 9 act up....and generally they seem to be quite well made. They're ugly as all hell....but for the price...I don't see the issue with keeping one in the nightstand or as a target gun. After handling one....I can't quite figure out how they call it compact...I couldn't carry it. I bought my Norinco model 213 at a gun shop in Traders Village back in 1994 for $165.00 new in the box. I've put close to 1000 rounds thru it...ranging from Winchester white box luger target rounds to +P defense rounds from Hornady, Federal Premium, and Fiocchi...and I'd bet its had 10 FTF total....most when it was new.

Sucker bet. Some guys on youtube plugged the barrel and filled it completely with powder and still could not blow up the gun. Find the video and watch what the same treatment did to a glock.
