You can't carry in commiefornia if you had a Texas CHL anyway.

All you can do once you get to CA is lock it up per Federal transportation guidelines.

Edit:Also, you better not have a magazine above 10 rounds or they'll bust you for that, too. (IIRC).

Sure you can. It just has to be concealed in a locked fucking container and not in the passenger compartment with the ammo separated from the gun.

I drove out there one time and carried all the way. Once I got to the California State line I put my 1911 in a locked case in the back of the car with the ammunition separate.

Yep. Though one could argue that if you needed it, being alive and dealing with the legal repercussions is better than being dead and legal.

FWIW, even if you did have a CHL, it wouldn't be Cali reciprocal, so you'd still have to lock it in the trunk unloaded.

I'd go to the other one in Fla. As far as I understand it, better gun laws there.

Well, realistically it would be a consideration for me. Other circumstances would dictate it. Just keep that in mind though.

I've been to both. The one in FL is Disney World. Its better than Disney Land, and thats not even considering gun laws. They had more land to work with so there is more to do. Diney Land is done in a day. World will take several.

Only catch is Didney World is almost twice the price per head to get in compared to DL.

One more question, I have been told many things but what I believe to be correct is at 18 you can legally have a pistol in your car correct? Aren't you covered for that under the castle doctrine? Just curious

In Texas you'd be good but not in Cali.

Wonder why? Regardless, it is expensive!
