  • Spikes Complete Upper

Looking at this Spikes Complete Upper & was just wondering if anyone has any experience with it. I have a Spikes stripped lower & trying to keep the build at $800 or less.

I bought that same upper NIB from a ar15.com member. It has run flawlessly from day one and is pretty damn accurate... steel and brass, 55gr-77gr

Not bad, decent deal for a quality upper.

Is there any other you would recommend in that price range?

I also bought this upper, its currently what I have equipped on my AR-15.

It runs very well but wished it would have a chrome bcg. Either way it has a great barrel with a 1:7 twist I believe.

Edit note: It has never jammed, unlike my AK-74

My Spikes AR ran 100% for the few hundred that I put through it, including some bumpfire stock loving. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their stuff for casual use, from what I've seen their stuff is built right.

Well this is my first AR 15 so I'm pretty excited. Plan on going with a Spikes LPK with there battle trigger.

Just get a normal trigger, and have someone polish it up if you aren't familiar and put the JP reduced power spring kit in that bitch. $15 well spent.

What is the process of polishing the trigger?

If you want to try one out, you're welcome to give mine a whirl. It's not some uber crisp $300 wonder trigger, but it's good enough, and it's dirt cheap.

It's pretty easy, there are online tutorials, and all it takes is a little elbow grease (or a polishing wheel on a grinder)

Depending on where in town you are, I know a few guys who will do it for next to nothing.
http://shanedaughtry.com/images/Fire...0Animation.gif You basically just clean up the engagement points between the trigger and hammer.

One more question, would it be better to go with a Daniel Defense LPK rather that Spikes?

Called AIM Surplus today & placed a order for a Spikes 16" Middy MOE. It comes with black handguards but I asked if I could get it with OD Green instead & they said sure. I also placed a order with Botach for a MOE CTR Stock, MOE P Mags & MOE Plus Grip. Used the coupon code to save 20% off. Thanks fellas for the Help!!!

I own 2 Spikes uppers from AIM. I think it's a pretty good deal as it includes BCG, Charge handle, T-2 Buffer, and MOE hanguards.

I have about 5 hundered rounds combind through each and have no complaints. Actually looking at picking up anothe one.

                            I think you're GTG.

                            * Share the coupon code or PM it to me please.
