  • shot a m44 today.

First time I've messed with a mosin.

I like the size of the rifle compared to the regular mosins.

I was surprised at the accuracy with brown bear. If I would have know He was bringing it I would have grabbed a paper plate for the c&r contest.

His was beat to shit, but it was 80 bucks.

How's my old lx treating you? Replace that shitty upr suspension yet.

It's good. Heck I haven't drove it in a looong time! Yeah I replaced the uppers and lowers because the old bushings were shot. I've got to replace the rack on it sometime soon, just trying to decide if I want to keep power steering or convert to manual.

FYI, there were some very nice unissued looking M44 carbines imported from Poland. They were made in the 1950's and have nicer machining, fit, and finish than other Mosin Nagants I've seen. The importer marked them as T-44 for some reason but they are M44 carbines.

I love my M44, but I have GOT to get a limbsaver. That metal butt plate does me in after 5 rounds.
