It bothers me that the ATF can approve something and then revoke the approval and take back the items without compensating people. Never heard of the Atkins accelerator before but I read up on that. I am surprised nobody tried to challenge it in court saying they bought it with an approval letter from the ATF, if the ATF changes it's mind they are going to have to buy it back from me.

I know they have crazy amounts of power but what leg could the ATF have to stand on if they issued an approval letter?

No company could ever get away with anything like that, we shouldn't let them get away with it either. Truth is I don't have any items like this so it's not truly my concern, I just don't like the system. Seems like theft to me.

I agree, but it's the govt.

They write letters and retract them all the time and have been doing so for years. People have challenged and lost. Just accepted as fact for the time being.

they knocked me off the list when they came out of back-order and they contacted me and asked me to re-order and I would be bumped back to the front and get one of the 30 that they had.

I spoke to the owner and inventor of the stock on Friday. Stated he put his life savings into the stock, and is charging the 300 to recover it at minimum. Stated his next stock will be for the ak, and then the next for the mini-14. I told him I would buy one but its $100 too much. I tried to get him to say if he would be bringing down the price, but he wasnt talking.

He'll brng it down once he recovers.

Doesnt sound like he's having any trouble selling them right now, so a couple of folks passing on them at the price right now probably isnt killing him.

I guess they decided to make sure I got it before xmas. They went ahead and re-charged my card and shipped it out. Looks like a decent piece

I talked to him about the atf letter. asked him about the Akins accelerator. he said that Akins submitted a sks stock that didn't even function so the atf approved it. Stated his stock will not be anything like them.
