Of course if youre an ffl the rules are different. But i doubt all these people claiming knocks on doors are ffls.

Either way dealer or not, you still have constitutional rights.

I agree with Futant on so many levels.

The right to own and bare arms is for protection -- from who --- Government! This is why the Government (early years) feared the people! They had no idea who was armed and what they were armed with! These days are over if we let them inventory every piece of ammo we have!

good point, sorry I missed that one.

Look I totally understand not making your life more difficult than necessary but CJ is spot on here. The problem is this is just like the police ASKing to search your vehicle.
You have nothing to hide right ?
They are on a search to find something to charge people with to necessitate their own jobs.
If he just wanted to ask a few questions I would cooperate fully, up until he asks me questions he has no legal authority asking me (which i might add is virtually everything he asks any way)

In no way would I ever let them see my guns. This shit happens ALL THE TIME to law abiding citizens apparently living in a world where there are more coppers than criminals.
They come in , they scatter your shit everywhere. They find something trivial to charge you with and bam you are out 10K$ defending yourself in court to be free. ALL because YOU were stupid enough to GIVE THEM PERMISSION TO SEARCH YOU / YOUR PREMISES.

It's horrible, and they do it everyday sleeping soundly that they 'did their job'.
    COMICAL huh?

I was just thinking this myself.
