I have a very similar one. Good enough to get paper at 50 - I use it for new scopes/guns so I don't shoot bullets into the housing developments behind the range.

Some chambers are larger than others, some smaller, etc. Also, the bolt head and extractor vary considerably and can hold the laser in a different location every time it's chambered. A bore mounted muzzle laser slides down the barrel (which is an exact diameter on any weapon) which is the true determinant of the point of aim, a chamber is not a true determinant of the point of aim.
I agree. I would just add to this that when I boresighted with my .243 cased (308 in my situation) boresight for chamber I would roll it around in the chamber really good while watching the laser dot for movement.
Movement was never a lot, I would guess 6" at 70 yrds maybe.
Point is the chamber doesn't aim the bullet , the bore does.
Especially at the point of departure I would imagine.
