CJ is going to work some loads up so we can get a .300blk with a pistol length piston conversion in both subsonic and supersonic to function.

I picked up some powder today and some projectiles. How about some 225gr BTHP for subsonic and some 110gr and 125gr for supersonic.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

We'll figure this out. We're both in the same boat.

Keith, here is a thread I bookmarked to look at a later date.

So you just ordered a pistol upper to start this build right? You didn't have to put it on a lower marked "pistol"? I am wanting to build an SBR and have been looking at starting a trust and what all it takes with the BATF. I thought I saw on one companies site that you were only supposed to put the pistol upper on "pistol" lowers?

it has to be a pistol marked lower.

I don't believe that's the case. It simply must have been sold as "receiver or handgun" on the 4473.

You're right, it just can't be sold as a rifle.

My lower is one from the last gb marked multi-cal. The 4473 lists them as receiver.

Companies like Model 1 Sales will typically not ship you a short barrelled upper unless you prove to the you have a stamp or are putting it on a REGISTERED pistol lower. BUT at the gun show they seem to not care.

I ordered mine from JSE surplus online, I didn't give them any info, just add to cart and checkout, showed up a few days later

Got it! Thanks! You are right that is about the fastest way to get a SBR. Heck between ya'll and my friend at work I got too many bad influences!!

Also what length upper should I look for if I am going to supress it? I haven't decided if I am going with .300 or 7.62x39 yet, if that makes a difference.

Do not buy a 7.62x39 that's just idiotic for many reasons, trust me on that. The length you want is 9", that has the best ballistics for the sacrifice. If you're gonna go SBR, then make it a SHORT rifle.

Got the suppressor adapter in the mail today and could not resist seeing how it looked.

I also picked up some 225gr subsonic rounds. As soon as the piston push rod shows up we will be going pchew, pchew, pchew. That is if I don't toss the gun back to DI for a couple test pchew, pchew, pchews.
