I am told that Texas law no longer requires you to show your CHL to an officer along with your DL when stopped. This is a good example of why I still do, even if I don't have my weapon with me. I have never been greeted with anything other than an appreciative rermark. It gives the LEO a pretty good idea who they are dealing with.
I took my CHL class less then a month ago and from what I learned you still have to unless you are not carrying..
They see it either way, and it used to be that way regardless. That way if a cop checks his computer and it shows you could have a weapon, he won't freak out.
