anyone ever painted a polymer pistol?

my wife has been shooting my XD pistol and wants to get one of her own. she has mentioned she wants a pink one and im not seeing anything online where they sell one factory that is pink. so has anyone evver painted one? how did it turn out and what type of paint do you use?

I know it's been done before. Just wandering how hard and what is used to do it?

dont use regular spray paint.

need to use duracoat or ceracote(sp?) or something similar.

do you have an airbrush? or other guns to also refinish?
if so you can get kits to do it all yourself. though i have heard the kits airbrush gun kinda sux.

otherwise there are quite a few people that offer these coatings for a good price

Another option would be to have it hydro dipped.
