Stay away from rossi. I bought one for my girlfriend, and it was the only revolver that I've ever seen jam.
I went with a GP100 as well when I decided I needed a wheel gun, I wanted a 686, but just couldn't justify the extra cost and now I love shooting the GP100.

I've stayed out of this one because asking "wut revolver you want?" is like "what's the best pistol?" "or what kid of rifle are you thinking about buying?"

but I had to roll my eyes out of my fucking head at the Korth suggestion

David hasnt been posting much lately, someone has to fill that void!

But one day I will own a Korth, ideally a revolver and a semi auto. That however is probably at least 10-15 years out.

I still remember the article I think it was Guns and Ammo did on the Korth. They claimed it was "the most powerful handgun" because of the tolerances. I think the guns retailed $2k back then.

Damn; I learn something new everyday. Never heard of a Korth until now and I consider myself to be pretty knowledgeable about guns in general.

2001 GT, if you you live near HWY 35 and Belt Line I shoot close by to there most weekday mornings at dawn and normally have a few common (no Korth's) type revolvers with me. If you would like to try a few send me a PM.

Korth is to revolvers what Wilson Combat is to 1911s. They are just incredible.

You usually have to order them (I dont think there are stocking dealers). Here is a used one for sale for $5200-

              Their automatics are also incredible.

I don't mind spending stupid money to get quality but 5k + for a revolver doesn't make sense to me. How much better will I shoot with it vs my favorite revolver (PD trade in S&W 64) that I shoot almost daily?

Beats me, but we are talking about a fine hand made, exclusive, and ornate firearm versus a mass produced domestic weapon.

You could liken this comparison to a ZR1 corvette versus a Ferrari. Both perform comparably, but the Ferrari is a hand made work of art that is both exclusive and ornate. One pays for these features.

The finer things in life are lost on some people. Those people buy Kimbers. All of the appearance, without any of the performance!

They also make it in .45ACP and .44Mag, I believe.

Love my 686. Look around online, I bought mine (686-1) for $490, stanless 6 inch in almost perfect condition. Stay away from Monarch .357 mag ammo, some of the rounds are not machined right and will sieze the cylinder. I've had it happen 6 times out of 1 box of ammo so far and I have around 20 rounds left.

S&W Model 19 or 66, I like it since it is concealable and I can practice with .38 and carry with .357.
