My grandpa just showed me a few guns he had and I thought they were possibly worth some dough. First was a heavy (unknown make) WWI flare gun with a 4 digit serial 1406 and a date of 1917. It looks to be an iron barrel and brass frame and wood grip. In great condition. Second was a Browning .25 caliber baby pistol. Had a number on it 343137 with an "S" under it. Unknown model or year. Blueing was perfect and in perfect condition. Anyone got info on these? Or possibly street value? Not looking to sell but just curious.

Age doesn't play into how much something is worth as much as rarity and condition. If you add all 3 together then you have something worth $$."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

flare guns usually don't have much value unless we're talking civil war era. The baby browning is as people mentioned."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

Yeah that's not an issue flare gun, I was assuming you were talking about a standard US issue flare gun, which are stamped steel junk. Looks nice an interesting piece."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
