I like that price, but damn by the time you get the BCG and CH you have around 450. I wished they would price them around say 230. I know, wishful thinking.

I have read a lot of reviews on the Noveske 8" .300 barrel. Most sites list it for $346 with low pro gas block, add a $100 upper, $135+/- and handguard of your choice. The problem is you can sink literally hundreds in handguards alone but it can be done for around $550.

I have plenty of handguard options laying around the garage, a spare BCG or two, plenty of lowers to build upon and just mike start a .300 pistol - future SBR build. I am looking for a barrel now and will pick up an upper at the gun show next weekend.

Not at all man. I was only asking the question in regards to what the difference was between .300 and 5.56. It had nothing to do with me being a cheap ass. It just seems to me they're cashing in on the .300 BLK if the difference between both calibers was only a barrel. It was mentioned above that these barrels may not be chrome lined. agreed. MidwayUSA lists the CMMG 300 BLK uppers for $550-600, and barrels are around $350-400

Well after some checking on prices of the barrels itself, the deal posted is awesome when you see $465 for just a Noveske 16" BLK. barrel. Yeah I'm gonna go sit down and shut the hell up, the DSA .300 is a smokin' good deal compared to Noveske 16" barrel.

You can get them in chrome lined. I assume you're talking about the ZM4's. I have 4 of them, and they have newer nicer versions that motoman bought. They are excellent for the money.
