  • In Soviet Russia......

.......they built me a new handgun.

1895 Mosin Nagant Pistol. 7.62x38R. If fires a goofy looking round that has the bullet sunk even to the neck of the casing. When you pull the triggerthe cylinder turns like other revolvers BUT this one pushes the cylinder towards the barrel to create a semi seal.

For that reason this is the only revolver that I know which can be suppressed.

    Normal state

    Hammer to the rear

For as cheap as this pistol is, the trigger in single action is very nice.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Nice! I think you can load .32 H&R for that gun, if you trim the brass. I hear it's cheaper than buying the correct ammo for it.

.....and for a $120 pistol it shoots great. I just put 30 rounds through it with DOHCTR and Threefingerpete. Pretty accurate, pretty quiet, pretty smooth trigger and best part is, it is suppressable. All in all I give the Ruskies a thumbs up.

Gun shoots damn good. Recoil is low, single action is pretty good, nice grip, and the thing is in stellar condition. What is not to like about this thing?

Ammo cost is the only kick in the dick. That little thing is cute!

You know why all russian weapons look like they were built with a block of steel, a rivet gun, and a grinder?

                because they were.

.32ACP cylinder is $74 and a direct drop in. I found .32ACP for $15.99. With 7.62x38r at $24 for the same box of 50 it would take about 350 rounds before I would see a gain.

I want to run the s/n to see how old it is. Also time to find a place to thread the barrel and a suppressor for it. Can you imagine how quiet it will be with a can on it?

But yes, it is a fun little gun.
