yea, i read a review or three briefly. they seem to be not so favorable with the crossfire.

    24x. 50mm objective. 30mm tube. $150

lmao, I guess the same reason some of these guys put a set of 6k billet wheels on a 88 coupe with a stock motor and broken ash tray lid, Robert...

Well I picked up the $99 Vortex. I can always find something to put it on. I am leaning towards a 4x Leupold right now. Hopefully I can find one for a deal this weekend at the gun show.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

SWFA and UPS show the Vortex being delivered tomorrow. I just couldn't pass it up for the price.

That's one thing I typically don't see at the gun show, is newer big name scopes.

Occasionally there are good deals on used glass at the individual old dudes' tables.

And leaves you with enough to pick up a mint Jimenez or Cobra .380 while you're there!

I put a wally world special on my son's 10/22, 3-9x. Holds zero and I think I only paid about $35 for it plus another $6 for some cheapo rings. He knocks the heads off turtles with it at 50-75yds.

I did the same thing, I put a cheapo BSA 4x32 on my boys Ruger 10/22 and he was plinking shit at 35/50/75yrds with no problems. And I taught him how to sight it in with out the scope first, he was accurate for a first timer at 15 yrs old. I then mounted the scope and he sighted it in himself and its good enough. Its just a .22 rilfe no need for optics costing more than the gun itself to achieve results unless you are on the olympic team...

What if said gun cost $800 to build and was expected to knock the wings off a nat at 50yrds?

Ya, my trigger assembly cost more than the original rifle. :/

I was talking about the 10/22, but I could probably still do it with that BSA, lol!
